I relocated to the area several years ago from Marinette County, Wisconsin. Since then, I never have to travel far to find the perfect inspiration. I paint primarily in oils and sometimes in watercolors.
I consider myself an avid outdoor enthusiast, always hiking, biking, canoeing, and observing nature, often seen with sketch book and camera in hand; recently I started painting more en plein air. In my entire career as an Artist I have striven to capture a certain time and place that will invoke a memory. Each painting can have different meanings to each viewer and I love to hear the interpretations.
Like many artists, I developed my artistic sensibilities as a child, later trained in Graphic Art, and took Fine Art courses in college. I am inspired by several classic old style painters and a few current artists. My style is a blend of all that I love. As a committed lifetime learner, I continue to refine my observation and painting skills.

I have been making pottery for roughly 15 years. I studied at UW-Superior. Once I got my hands dirty with clay I couldn’t stop. My work is influenced by both the beauty of our earth and the importance of the past. I appreciate the way nature makes wonderful lines, from tall slender trees to hard-edged blades of grass, and works to represent those lines in his art.
