Carl Gawboy, a Boise Forte Anishinaabe/Ojibwe and Finnish artist and master storyteller, developed his own painting style with a commitment to honest depiction of everyday Ojibwe rituals of sugaring, ricing, canoeing, and harvesting.
He has been referred to as the “Ojibwe Norman Rockwell” because his paintings show the real lived experience and history of the Ojibwe people. Carl has created a vast amount of work over the years that includes watercolor, acrylic, and oil paintings, woodblocks, print pencil and ink drawings, and illustrations.

I make and sell handmade friendship bracelets, keychains, wall hangings, and more using embroidery thread. As well as beaded jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and rings. All of these creations are handmade with love and care. I really enjoy making these bright, colorful pieces of art for others to enjoy! Crafting and making handmade jewelry has always been a hobby of mine ever since I was a kid. I was introduced to friendship bracelet making around 2018. At the time, I only knew a few basic techniques, and wasn’t very good at it. But once I found out all the different creations you could make, I kept practicing more and more. I started sharing what I make through social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, and decided to start selling my creations for others to enjoy worldwide on Etsy!
